Security
The most important job any network administrator has is to secure
the company's network, and everything contained therein. Period.
Network
security falls into two major categories: access from the inside
and access from the outside.
Access
from the inside includes everyone who will in any way,
shape or form log on to your network for any reason whatsoever
at your business. Usually, that just means the regular employees,
but many companies have temps and visitors who log on for various
reasons. Great care must be taken to ensure that each user is
able to access the network only at the level appropriate for them,
and nothing more. Ensuring this takes a detailed examination of
the account, group and folder structure, then configuring the
structure appropriately. Passwords are another potential risk
and it's just a good idea to have the network checked by an outside
organization from time to time. You need to know if someone can
hack your network: simple common sense tells you that. For someone
untrained in computer networks, it's a daunting task. For someone
who teaches it, no problem. We teach it: we do it.

Access
from the outside is everyone who logs on to your network from
an outside line (like the Internet or Dial-Up Networking). When
permissions, passwords and account properties are properly configured,
everything should be just fine. When they're not, your network
is open to the whole world. Literally. A properly trained professional
is needed and Executive 2000 is the company you want. We'll
configure accounts, permissions, properties, proxy servers, firewalls
and anything else you need to protect your network. And we'll
stay on top of it.
Security
is not an area for the inexperienced to dabble in - it requires
a professional trained in network security.

2000 Consulting Services: if we can teach it, we can do it.
